Mike
Mike grew up at Westwood Sports under his dad, Dave, learning all there is to know about hockey equipment, sharpening skates, and the importance of customer service. He shares his dad’s passion for helping everyone get geared up to play the greatest game. Mike’s experience ensures they choose the right equipment for their age, level and price point. With two kids playing in Apple Valley and for the Tommy Chicago AAA program in the summer, he is dedicated and invested in the athletes in the community. His customers are the best advertising.
Chad
Chad returns to team Westwood, where he worked many years back under the mentorship of founder Dave Benolkin. He grew up with a love for hockey and has been giving back ever since. While attending high school in Richfield he played football, golf, and of course – hockey, for the Spartans. After that, he went on to play junior hockey where he would also eventually coach for six years. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for the game with everyone who comes to the shop.
Shane
Shane traded his career in the IT services industry for one that brings joy – hockey. He brings with him an attention to detail and knowledge on the game and equipment. As a local hockey Dad who cares about expert-level service, he’s frequented Westwood – so when the chance to join the team was available it was a no brainer. Shane grew up in Cottage Grove where he began hockey at age three and played through high school. When he’s not at the shop you can find him chasing his teen son around Twin Cities rinks.
